Default new computer bad spyware problem

so i just got a new computer. Its great (well anything would be great compared to my old computer) all it needs is a better graphics card and more RAM whcih i will take care of soon enough
but ever sicne i got it i've been having alot more spyware problems
on my old computer i would get spyware run spybot and not have to worry about it for awhile
but now i run adaware and spybot one after the other and the spyware just keeps coming back
ive also been infected with spyfalcon twice
i mostly go to the same sites as i used to on my old computer
why do i get more spyware then befor?
what program(s) (preferably free) can i use to completly whip out the spyware?
what program(s) (preferably free) can i use to prevent the spyware?
thanks for the help

There is no one program you have to use many because one program will catch something another might miss.

A few good one to have that are free is microsoft antispyware, ad-aware se, spybot sd and spyware blaster.

Run your tea timer on spybot to notify you of any registry changes for starters. I also run a program called spyware blaster it is made by the same people as spybot and its free here is a link SPYWARE BLASTER] This program is not a spyware remover what it does is keep spyware from installing in the first place. Also make sure you are behind a router or firewall and you keep windows updated, alot of people dont think its important to update windows but let me tell ya it is very important. Also keep all your antispyware programs up to date!

Last but not least post a hijackthis log as you may still be infected with something that keeps downloading the spyware on your PC even though you think you have cleaned it.
