Default What you think

Hey guys in the last few days i have discovered that my new price range is AU$2000 down from AU$2500 so I had to rethink my laptop choice.
I was wondering what you thought of this http://dellstore02.dell.com.au/publi...448113&sr_no=1 ???
What do you think of that compared to TravelMate 4074WLMi - S Centrino® Widescreen Mobility Portable (couldnt get the link to work)

Any help would be appriciated.

Link doesnt work. But since you're in Australia, Asus and Acers have been pretty popular down there. How's Dell support over there?

Well the bottom line in the Dell has 1.8GHz Duo but the Acer has 2.0GHz PM.
But the Dell also has a 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. This has swayed me towards the Dell and they both have 1yr warrenties Dell's is Next Buiseness Day Onsite Service, Acer's is Pickup and Return Service? What is better as I live in the country 4hrs by road to the states capital (Melbourne)
But I am swayed towards the Dell, but can they send you an invoice so you can clain it on your tax?

The Acer 5670 should be in that ball park with an X1400 also with duo core processor. As for warranty service, I don't know about Australia, but many parts over there have instant exchange service.

Well I rang up some places today and found exactly what I want.
Acer Aspire 5612 with 1.66GHz Duo, 512MB (will upgrade to 1GB on purchace), 80GB 5400rpm HD and 15.4" Wide Screen. It is what was recommended to me by the guy on the phone lol. Anyway it is sold in the place it want so I'm happy. Thank you all for all your help.
It has definatly helped my decision and shown me what to look out for.
In a week or two I should have my new laptop YAY
