Default No Sound

Hey, I was just watching an episode of My Name is Earl on my computer, when all of a sudden it froze and restarted. When it restarted, there was no sound coming out of my speakers. I checked all the volume controls and finally did a system restore. After the restore it gave me like an error message "windows has just recovered from a serious error" but there was still no sound. I thought i also saw an error message saying something about hardware not working, but im not sure what it said exactly...any help is appreciated and thanks in advance

try reinstalling your audio drivers, do you have integrated sound or a dedicated sound card?
