Default gateway fix, please read

i dont know much about the comp because i just recieved it but heres what ive got.

gateway g6-333c

celeron 333mhz
40gb maxtor hdd
192mb ram
phoenix bios 4.0 release 6.0

at boot i get the following message: ULTRA133TX2 BIOS v2.20.0050.10 is not installed because the drivers are not attached. then it goes to the next screen and says: ERROR 0200: FAILURE FIXED DISK. its a fairly new HDD, but its giving me this message. i cant get windows 2000 pro to install, it says there is no HDD. can anyone help me, i really want to get this thing running as soon as possible.

It looks like the pc dosnt support ata133. Older pcs had ata100. If you have an old harddrive try that but trust me with this. Windows 2k isnt the best on 333Mhz. Been there. Done that.

i put another HDD in it, as i found that the other HDD was bad. i put 256mb of ram in it and it is running windows 2000 pro flawlessly. the minimal requirements for 2000 are, 64mb ram and an 133mhz or greater class pentium. so i got 256 and 333. its working great.
