ok to clear things up... a dual core processor would be best for video editing, so yes it's worth the upgrade. also, the 7600GT isn't THAT much better than the 6800gs, only by 5-10%. where did you get 50-75% from?? that makes no sense the 7600gt is 128-bit, not to mention no benchmark would ever show such a big difference!
7600gs < 6800gs < 7600gt
EDIT: 7600gs < 6800gs < 7600gt < 7800gt overclocked

The one that said the 7600GT is better didn't say that it was 50-70 percent better. The one that said the 7600GS is better said that.

The 7600GT tends to provide framerates around 20% higher than the 6800GS:
