Question Need advice on CompTIA A+ Certification!

I wanted to ask about CompTIA A+ Certification.
Is it good? I mean is it useful for the amount of studying required? and how recognized and up to date is it?
If not, what would you suggest is a good similar certification?
Also, I've been finding many different opinions on A+ Complete Study Guide by Sybex. Do you think the book is enough to prepare for the exam?
If not, what would you suggest?

Thanks! (advice would be very much appreciated!)

Its pretty much the standard. Its usefull if you want to get a job in anything computer related, obviously. As to how much studying it depends on how much you already know. Here are some sample tests: http://www.comptia.org/certification...questions.aspx

For the record, I got almost none of them right
