I just built a computer recently, and its decent but i expected more. I am convinced that something is wrong.
Examples:1) When i put a game in my cd drive it will show that the disk is in but then it will go black for like 30 seconds and then the normal screen will come up 2) When multi tasking like listening to music and stuff every so often when i go into a program it will freeze kinda for a couple seconds the music will stop I'm conviced that theres something missing or wrong, please help specs are in the sig

well, just because im a bit of a perfectionist, in your sig it say 512 gig, i assume you mean Gb, which is wrong anyway, you mean Mb or at least meg, now onto the subject, again i would say check the memory out, perhaps consider upgrading to 1Gb if possible.... also check out your CPU usage when this happens, if it whacks itself out at 100% then you need to check for spyware and adware/viruses etc....., installed anything new lately...???

Hey Dragon, my friend also has the same problem.
We recently built a system for his little brother and about 10 times a day it will freeze and boot him out of applications. My friend's father isn't very happy with me so I wanted to ask you now and this is the perfect thread. Specs: 1)2GB OCZ Performance memory. CAS latencies are 3-3-3-8 (however, the BIOS shows that it is running in single channel when there are 2 1GB sticks!) 2)Intel 3.4Ghz Socket T 3)Stock PSU from an NZXT Nemisis Elite case. 400W with 22A on the 12V rail. 4)X850 Pro Maybe a motherboard issue? Bad RAM? These are the things that I think it could be... what do you think?
