OEM baisicaly means no extra cables, no manual, no retail box, no extras...

i.e. when you buy a OEM processor on newegg it comes as JUST the processor (no manuals, no heatsink, no fan)... when you buy a CD/DVD burner OEM it is JUST the CD/DVD burner with no extra cables...

when you get retail, you get the manuals, the drivers, etc...

IMO this is what it is good to get OEM wut isn't

Wut you definitly should get that is Retail:
Processor
Motherboard
Video Card
Sound Card

What is fine to get OEM:
harddrive
cd/dvd drive
floppy drive
Windows XP

some ppl might feel differently, but that is just my take on buying OEM or retail

and idk about ram...

yea tht may be so, but if u get the OEM, then you are gona have to buy all the cables for connecting stuff, ur gona have to look online to figure out where to plug in the Front Ports, and configure the jumpers,it would just be alot less hastle and saving time and easy getting the retail...

i woould just see it being easier to save up a bit more to get that mobo

??? Is that comment supposed to be sarcastic or something? It is in english, unless you can't read. Sure, there's some errors but you can get the general idea can't you?
