Default Display problems! help please

Hey guys, weird thing just happened,

I restarted my computer just 5 minutes ago, which was running perfectly fine before. And now my screen has a weird greenish, yellow haze! my white background looks like the color of apple juice. Any idea what this is ? hopefully not a dead video card or something..

Type of display? A bit more info would be helpfull. Have you tried simply rebooting your machine again?

Ah sorry, I guess you could use more details huh.

Its an acer 17" LCD monitor. ATI x700pro card. I tried rebooting the computer, and unplugging the display.

Now when I go into the menu of the monitor, To adjust contrast and stuff, the colors are fine, the menu looks normal, no greenish/yellow haze. its just the destop/applications (internet explorer, msn, etc) that are green.

First do what flush01 suggested. Then if you are able you might try switching to modes (VGA-DVI) if you are able. Did you install software with your monitor? Perhaps color calibration software or similar?

Sounds like the symptoms of a loose connection at the video card. Or maybe the monitor going bye bye. If you have another one, try swapping it out.
