Cool _StRiKeR_

What are some good budget comps that can run the new games like F.E.A.R. and Oblivion?

Well it would need dedicated video, and almost all computers that are sold at stores only have shared integrated video. Your best bet would be to get a custom one, either build it yourself or go to a company such as CyberPowerSystems and have them build it for you.

As for the parts, i would say something along the lines of an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (or higher) CPU, 1GB RAM, 80GB (or larger) hard drive, ATI x700PRO or nVidia 6600GT (or better) for the video card.

Or go to www.cyberpowerpc.com and mess with their configurators. I found my computer using the Gamer Ultra 8500, but you might be able to do one of their Mega Special deals.
