Default Fps?

Whats FPS? And how can i tell how many it is doing when i run a game, is it a program I have to launch to see how many FPS are going?

Frames per second... The more Fps you get in a game the smoother the game looks.

There is a program called Fraps which shows this. Which game are you playing? for example you can see frames with Counterstrike using any of the following commands.
cl_showfps 1
net_graph 1
net_graph 2
net_graph 3
(0 for off)

FPS is frames per second. go to this website and download the free version and it will tell you your frames per second.
