Hi there guys, i bought a pc came pre-installed with XP Home OEM version, i want to switch to XP Pro, so i borrowed an XP Pro CD on my friend, but not the product key (of course!!!) so, i try to install XP Pro on my Comp XP Home OEM version, and i enter the product which is use to install the OEM Version,and i got an error message!!! "The product key you use is invalid!!!" what will i do, i want to switch to XP Pro without buying a new copy of XP!!! is it posseble to enter an OEM Version product on an retail XP?

The thing is that Home and Pro use different serial keys and you guessed it, you have to buy your own copy of Win XP Pro.

mrjack, i think that there is no difference between xp pro serial key and xp home serial key, even if xpro retail key, xp pro OEM key, xp pro corp. key and other xp pro serials . it's just the serial key. right???
