Hello all;
I have a problem with this Compaq Evo T20 thinclient. I bought it from a dodgey second hand computer store. It is all fine, but the OS installed is Windows NT. I have tried to administer this OS, but the problem is that it has been locked down so much by the previous owner. I have tried to log off the user account, but what happens is it logs out and then automatically logs back in. The F2 function to access the settings of the thin client does not work - the settings do not even appear. I can't even access HELP within the OS - this directory has been deleted ????? BIOS settings 'don't exist' ???? The only way to fix this is to wipe the OS of the memory, which in this case is a 32MB Smart Media Smart Card. What I need to know is one of the following: 1. What device to I need to remove memory off the smart card ? 2. Is there a way to access the Administrator account on the thinclient ? |
