Talking Small budget Computer

Wat do u think of this i only have 550 to spend

Here is da system
Case: Raidmax Black $50

Amd athlon 2600 BARTON $109

ASRock "K7V88 RAID" VIA KT880 $46 (chose this over other brands cause it has raid and up to 4gb ram space)

Corsiar value Select 512mb PC3200 ddr400 $79

Seagate 80GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive $63

Optorite Black IDE/ATAPI 52X32X52 CD-RW Drive $26

Sapphire ATI radeon 9800pro 128mb 256-bit $185

total is about 550 bucks.

wat ya think have any upgrades? gonna use a old floppy drive. and remember i only have 550!

whoa! thats a great price for a system like that, the RAM price seems great, are most 512mb ram sticks that cheap in the US?

the price really ranges on 512 sticks from 67 (lowest i seen) to well over 150.
btw i got these prices from www.newegg.com (think they ship worldwide THINK)

You could do better with ASUS A7V8X-X or A7N8X-X (for not much more)

It might be worth getting a 9600Pro and upping everything else In fact, i think Sempron3100 isnt outside of that budget range

i am a gamer so i will need a graphics card that will handle some of the newer games. and i was thinking of gettinga a 2600xp cause they sapose to be able to oc to 3200xp. i will look into the mobos tho. TY
