Default The perfect video player...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103546 < Probably overkill Maybe a Sempron...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820134008 < 1G RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129013 < Slim case, decent PSU.
http://cgi.ebay.com/BOOTABLE-DUAL-ID...QQcmdZViewItem < Main boot drive(or something similar)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820160033 < Two of these for the above device
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152025 < video capture drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827152058 < Nice DVD-RW
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820176005 < For the 3.5" slot
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815116310 < probably not this HDTV tuner as it doesn't appear to have onboard compression.

Why not go for a desktop case? I think silverstone and antec have some nice ones. And yeah, get a better tuner. Aside from that, looks good

hmm interesting, booting off cf cards, lol. If it's made for media center, wouldn't a sound card be nice ?

mrbagrat - That is a desktop, it just comes with little feet so it could stand as a tower.

liuliuboy - I always liked the idea of booting from solid state devices. They're so much more reliable, and that would help with heat and energy usage, along with sound(assuming the storage drive spins down)

As for a sound card, I thought about it... I have a similar board in my compaq(well, chipset and all) and the audio sounds quite good. I figured having optical out, it should have a perfect linkup to some stereo.
