Exclamation Computer Crashing

Processor: Intel Pentium D 3.0GHz
Memory: 1 GB DDR2 800
Mobo: Asus P5WD2
HD: WD 250GB SATA
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT 256MB

Everytime I go to play a game such as: COD2, Oblivion, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and sometimes BF2 the computer crashes. (screen goes black and the speakers get a "buzzing" noise. I have eliminated temperature as the cause both the cpu and gpu are way below the max.

I can't figure out what it is...it's beginning to be frustrating.

Any help would be much appreciated.

PSU: Antec:TPII-550

It just goes black...and sometimes restarts but not with any pattern.

The graphics card is factory overclocked but I have not overclocked anything myself.

do you play any games that aren't as graphically intense as the ones you listed above? i had this problem when i had my ti4600 even while playing the original Rainbow Six (which the most basic of basic could run, even integrated)

are games the only time you've crashed, or have you had the same problem from even lower graphically-intense applications (as in while working with anything on the desktop, etc.)?
