A motherboard must have the ability to overclock a processor. Sometimes a motherboard vendor will provide a Windows program to adjust the amount of overclocking, but the most common way to overclock is to go into the BIOS to make overclock and RAM timing changes. Trying to overclock a 333MHz processor is really like kicking a dead horse.

Just get a different motherboard and you can probably overclock that chip fairly well. But if you plan on using the machine for light gameplay and processing of some sort I suggest you DO upgrade to a Tualatin or something closer to that than a celery. However like said, with the right mobo you can OC that chip like a monster.
