Default Just would like to say somthing about a member and about what spamming really is

I have joined this forum today and thought it was a good forum upto now, I did some posts helping people on there questions that they asked and would like to note they even replyed with a thank you.

But one member that has now what I would say has used my name in vane thinks that I am a spammer

OK some tips for them who may not know what a spammer is
  1. some one that posts every post with a link saying look at this
  2. some one that just posts links saying look at this and dosnt help
  3. some one that never came to the site to help

what isn’t spamming
  1. links in signictures (if there classed as spam then don’t alow links then)
  2. sending a person to a link that can give them help on there question

so why is this spamming

http://www.computerforum.com/42040-php-mysql-havent-clue-what-im-doing-post299756.html

That person to me is a member that will get members that will help to not come back, he says that he is a good member within the pm he sent me, well I have looked at his posts ok he might help some people but lots of the posts that he has done are worthless any one can make 4000+ posts in less than a year and think they have the right to call some one a retard

Here is a copy of his pm
===============================
Quote:
SHOULD NOT BE POSTED - REPORT IF REQUIRED ! * edited by JANCZ3RT
======================================
end pm
======================================

When he says

Quote:
SHOULD NOT BE POSTED - REPORT IF REQUIRED ! * edited by JANCZ3RT
Who the hell does he think he is, I know a 17 year old kid that thinks he is clever and dosnt know what spam is

Mate do a search for Defining the Forum Spammers I would place a link but wouldn’t want you to go on one again.

Please don’t look at me as a spammer, so what I have a computer website that sells pc’s but never placed a link to that and yes I have forums but most people in fact normally every one places links in there signature to there websites, if a forum doesn’t allow it then they should have external links removed from there signatures

Thank you

Even if you weren't spamming, you didnt have to make a whole thread about this sharing someones PM, which is suposed to remain private. You dont have to make such a big deal about, if you find something like this offensive just PM it to Ian...

personally having worked in moderation on various other forums my thoughts would be that there is no reason to air the dirty laundry out in public, If either parties in this instance have a problem with each other i would suggest keeping it to Pm's or contacting a member of the Admin/moderation board.

Posting the details in public will only result in inflaming a situation and I personally dont find it the best way of dealing with things.

I would refuse to take either parties side in this, keep it to yourselves

That is the post that was ment to be spam

34erd, I dont find it offensive so thats not a problem, I want that people to know what this guy is like, thats one thing

also he didnt have the guts to reply on that thread with that pm, ok he might have been being nice to the op of that thread but if he wants to make me look bad then he should do it correctly and in the right way, if he cant do that then he should keep a zip on things

people that dont know what there on about shouldnt say a thing and thats simple, I see there are alot of nice people that are on here as I have been reading but its a shame how some one like that can realy let the forum dont

as you can see I have not got any dirty laundry thats why I posted it he has but I am one for keeping a good name and not letting people use it in vane like calling people a spammer and a retard when there not

also that would affend some people calling some one else a retard

serpose it did but it was ment to be like a little joke but some advise for trying to kind of help some on, cos if they didnt get the answere they wanted they could have gone to a webmaster forum and got a quick reply, it was just a thought and witha lol on the ned

also with a reply being

"excuse me....!!! are you spamming??? and insulting our expertise at the same time, its people liek you who shouldnt be allowed to use computers, do us ll a favour and sod off you retard"

dosnt really seem to be "that is all dragon was saying" but if it was then it was a very strange way to say it lol
