Default Stand By?

When I put my computer to Stand By all fans stop working, like the computer is off, so when I push ENTER or something it comes back to desktop, but it's weird that all the fans stop working, should I worry about overheating, I left it once in Stand By for about an hour and nothing happened. ??? ???

I don't think it should be a big problem, if it gets hot I'm sure the fans will kick on, right now my laptop's in standby and isn't pushing any air out either, but sometimes it will, usually right after being put in standby. If you're really worried about it, set it to go into hibernate instead of standby

This is how Standby mode is supposed to work. Your computer will not overheat. In Stanby all power is turned off except for the RAM. If you have a laptop it would be better to keep the power cord plugged in.

It is usually an option set in the BIOS that a keystroke and/or mouse motion will bring the system out of Standby mode. The most common method of waking from Standby it by using the power button; this way any accidental keystroke (and/or mouse motion) will not cause a power-up.
