Hi
I have bought ASUS laptop recently but within two weeks it failed I don not know the problem it simply showed a blinking power indicator and it couldn't start even I cannot switch on if I switch on I cannot switch off. If I give power from the adaptor, the battery couldn’t charge so there is some discontinuity in the motherboard I think... The problem faced me while I was using internet and there was storm (lightening) and I heard some crush sound and it stopped working totally..... One technician says there is a motherboard failures (the ceramic capacitor near the modem) failed so it couldn't maintain I felt hopeless and I simply put the laptop since last year .I live in Ethiopia and I couldn't get any components please if you have some solution give me. Alemayehu from Ethiopia

Have you contacted the place you purchased the laptop from, or Asus? I'm sure one of the two if not both would offer a replacment or something! I mean two weeks! Most laptops at least offer a 6 month warrenty

What model do you have? If it's an Ensemble Unit, it should have at 1-2 years global warranty. Even the customs should have about 1 year. Here's a link to Asus service locations: http://support.asus.com/contact/cont...Language=en-us
Just call up the number closest to you and they can help you with your laptop. They'll know if its still under warranty or not. |
