Beats Runs Slow?!
Hey!
Is there any reason why a newly built pc with good specs is running slowly? It cant run Doom or FarCry on High-but low, but can Run Call of Duty2 on high. It also crashed when quitting games. Temps are fine I think. It does not have the latest drivers installed yet (net not working yet- but factory drivers should not mean that it cant run games right? GPU is XFX GeForce 7900 GT XXX Edition 256MB GDDR3 , CPU - P4 775 3.4 , 1Gig DDR2, so should not have problems. Edit: Oh, Did tests in Eversest an Ram and CPU Benchmarks all came up ok- near top of list. Cheers

The very first thing you should install after Windows is first, the latest chipset drivers, then the latest video drivers, then sound drivers, without fail. Until you do that, all bets are off. Get on the net with someone else's pc if you can, get the drivers, install them, and THEN install and try to play the games.
