I do not know alot about LINUX but I have heard it is good for number crunching.
But they must be getting really desperate if you can legally get it for free. Go to http://shipit.ubuntu.com and sign up and you can get as many free copies as you like! It takes weeks to come because it comes from spain! But its still cool! Note: It calls it Ubuntu, but its the same thing.....I think......My friend it and ordered it and it was the same (I haven't got mine yet!)
