Default High pitched tone

Hi all, first time here,

I am often getting a high pitched tone coming from the computer. Everything slows right down and I am forced to reboot. It seems to happen more often when I am doing something demanding of the computer (gaming for example). Any ideas what it could be or how to correct it? Thanks

Any ideas of where the noise is coming from?

There are lots of components and lots of room for error inside a system, please be more specific to the problem.
