I have a baby AT motherboard with both an at and an atx power supply port, it's a socket 7 motherboard and I want to test this board, unfortunately all I have is a 430 watt power supply with the 12 volt adapter add on for the cpu on my newer motherboard. The baby AT isn't turning on and I was wondering if the older socket 7 motherboards could operate with a power supply that big. Thanks!

Your older board will only draw what it needs from the 430w supply. You just
have to make your connections are correct. The factory recommended range would more likely be in the 300-350w area. You have a little extra that's all. |
