Default OCed CPU to FX-55, Now what to do with RAM

Apparently some guy in another place said my CPU was just as good now as an FX-55. That makes me feel good, but I dont know what to do with RAM.

My computer
I have an Asus A8n-SLI Mobo
AMD 64 3700+ San Diego
Zalman LED Cooler Fan for CPU
Microstar 600W Power SUpply
Corsair Valueselect Ram 1 Gig
Geforce 6600 GT Pci-E x16

OC now to 2.7 GHZ with FSB of 1080. But I think my RAM timings are slower now. I don't know that much but here are my RAM Stats.

Corsair
VS512MB400

SPD Table
Frequency 200
CAS# Latency 2.5
Ras# to Cas# 3
RAS# Precharge 3
TRAS# 8

Memory Table
Frequency 180.01 MHZ
FSBRAM CPU/15
CAS# Latency 2.5
RAS# to CAS# Delay 3
RAS# Precharge 3
Cycle Time 6
Bank Cycle Time 19
DRAM Idle Timer 16
Command Rate 2T

I've read that Command Rate at 2T and not 1T is bad for AMD 64's. How do I change that?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can change that in BIOS in the menu where you change the RAM speed (400 MHz, 333 MHz etc.) you can also see memory timings there and you need to change the Command Rate to 1T. (easy to find)

Even if you've left your multiplier on 11x, your HTT would still be at 245 for that OC. If you reset your RAM to stock timings/dividers with that OC, it will be running at DDR490, which WILL be unstable given you're using ValueRAM.

You may be able to get slightly higher timings than that, particularly if you're willing to increase VDimm, but be careful or else your system will become unstable.

wow... thats a nice o/c, but that system isn't very balanced now is it? lol...
did you make sure the cpu is stable? you can do so by doing a torture test with prime95, google it.
2.7ghz is nice, btw thats actually faster than an fx-55.
either way, it's not gonna help you a lot depending on what you do with your computer.
personally i would've rather gotten a 3200+ and a 7600gt..

I OC'ed the 6600GT to its highest level I can from the settings that anandtech posted. So the card is doable. Thanks for the comments, I'm glad myself. Everything seems now and the cpu seems stable. I did the prime95 torture test and there were no errors. I just wanted to make sure if the ram was ok. Anyone know what the "ideal" setting for my ram should be? Any numbers? That would help me in the basis of making it better. To be honest I don't really know what the numbers mean. I don't know if I should make them lower or higher lol.

well, right now its really slow (compared to most gaming ram, or the like)
how long did you let prime95 run? 24hrs is recommended on the "max heat" or w/e torture test.
btw, an o/ced 6600gt isn't (nearly) as good as a stock 7600gt.
in fact, i'd match your 3700+ stock up with a 7800gt.
oced, id say that proc would balance with a nice 7900gtx.
of course, 6600gt must be because you don't do alot of gaming... i would've spent less on the proc (especially since u were o/cing anyways) and more on the video card if i were building a gaming computer.

oh btw good ram settings are like... ddr400 2-3-3-6.
that might be pushing it though depending on the stock settings of your ram.

I actually changed my OC now. It was wrong before. Now its a 2.75 GHz with a true 1000 FSB. My ram timings now are

DRAM Frequency 196.4 MHz
FSB : DRAM CPU/14
CAS# Latency 2.5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge 3 clocks
Cycle Time (TRAS) 6 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (TRC) 16 clocks
DRAM Idle Timer 16 clocks
Command Rate 1T

Also I do a fair bit of gaming but I didn't have enough money left for a nice card lol. I did run elder Scroll Oblivion on relatively high settings and it worked piece of cake. So I'm hoping the 6600GT is good enough.
And oddly enough, that was before I Overclocked my CPU and FSB.

So I think i'm cool right?
