hey after u installed the windows and it asked u for the serial key and it went through ok. and then when windows load and ur in the desktop screen the 30days activation thing comes out .

what happend if i dont activate it?

and if i buy a xp cd do i have to reinstall xp again since i used another cd key?

If you don't activate it within 30 days it will not let you log into Windows until you activate it. I don't think you'll have to reinstall it unless you bought a different version like Pro, and all you should have to do is enter the CD key.

oh so let say i go to bestbuy and buy it all i have to do is enter the key and thats it? even if is not the same one i used to install windows?

Yep that will usually work. Of course, If I bought something; I am going to use the CD that I just paid the bucks for.
