Hi all!

I was thinking of upgrading my PC and I was wondering how big the difference in performance would be between AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (my current processor) and Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (the one I'm thinking of buying).

What exactly is this 'duo' technology, will it give a noticeable difference in performance?
