Default Movies on my computer

When I play movies and dvds on my computer i either use Real One player, Windows Media Player, or Power DVD.
When I want to play things with Real One, sometimes they do not run smoothly, abit bumpy.
Also sometimes when i play things the Lip Sync goes out.
Why do these things happen and how can i fix them?

It's probably the way the video is. If the video's messed up it's not your player. Has a certain video worked fine and then not work on a different occasion?
