Default bad 3dmark06 score

hi, i just ran 3dmark06 on my computer and got a 2457. this is about mid-range, correct? well during the red valley test my card ran like crap producing a whopping 0 FPS. thats right 0. is this normal or is something set up wrong?

That seems about average. With an AMD processor im sure things could improve. Or an overclock of your cpu.

Have you ever run the cpu tests?

With my old AMD A64 3200+ OC'd, i still got 0FPS.

And with my current dual-core setup, i got 0FPS (with the exception of 1FPS spikes at the beginning of the test).

0FPS is normal for the CPU tests.

same here, although a couple times I hit 2fps. on the second cpu test it was between 0 and 3, while the first one was between zero and 1, with a couple spikes to 2. not a big deal.

yep, same here.
0FPS because i think it tries to render the video with the cpu instead of the gpu. i could be wrong though.
that score does seem low for a 7600gs, but it could be any number of things... processor, RAM speed, anything really.

You are right. In the CPU tests the CPU renders the scene including the shaders etc.

i think my weak point might be my cpu. its from hp i think they put a cheap one in there. what do you guys think my weak point is? all my parts are from hp so they are really just made by hp with a major companies technology.

The problem is that he has a single core CPU. Its not the video.

Yeah, you are wrong. The processor also handles the AI, game logic and physics, in addition to rendering the scene.
