BIOS Extreme Hardship

I am calling out for help from my laptop for my desktop. My desktop's BIOS successfully detects my drives part of the time. Last week my desktop's BIOS couldn't detect both of my harddrives and my floppy. It only detects CD ROM. And i waited 30 minutes and i started it and it detected my harddrives and Floppy rom. I don't know why. And it happened today also. My BIOS is unable to detect my harddrives and floppy. I will have to wait and start again. I don't want to wait every morning. My BIOS is Award Modular BIOS v6.00PGN from Phoenixnet.com. Someone help?

Normally it would be better to help you if you post some spec info on your rig.

I've got 3 year old computer. It has:
LG 52x Max CD ROM
Samsung Samtron 77E monitor
Intel P3 800Mhz
Nvidia RIVA TNT2 64/64PRO
I can't get the motherboard and harddrive and others yet because i can't get into windows
And Phoenixnet.com's Award Modular v6.00PGN Energy start ally BIOS
now help me.
