Replies are a tad bit harsh... when the member states he has trouble with english..

Anyways, like previously said, Vista is an intensive OS. In order to run it, you'll have to have a good performing machine. Also, it's not even released yet and the BETA's still have a lot of bugs in them. Just stick with XP now.

And if you don't want to play the latest games, there really is no reason to get Vista. XP will do fine, or even 2000 if you haven't bought the OS yet.

i think microsoft is going to provide support for XP and 2000 for another 7 years, so they will not be outdated. SP3 for XP is going to come out in January, while SP4 for 2000, which has been released for a good while, i think is goint to be the last service pack for 2000.

just dont understand why would you get windows vista if the whole vista product will cost more than his whole old computer..

plus you need a hell of a good pc to run it need at leas 2 gpu's and 2 gig ram plus a nice amd processor or hight intel cpu..

No you dont, anything that has a "Designed for Windows XP" sticker will run it. You dont have to have 2GB RAM, Dual GPU's... If it had those kind of system requirements, no one would buy it.

ok mabye you are right but now you need nice 2 gigs for your xp and for new 64 bit vista come on you need a good computer at least a cpu that is dual core some amd x2 4400

Like i have hundrends of suff running and those 2 gigs i use them trusy me i never turn my pc off only restart..
