the reason i asked about age of empires 3 is because that would confirm for sure if you needed the patch. honestly i don't think it will fixed anything based on how you've described the problem, but it's something you can put on your list of things to do as you're trying to solve the problem...

by the way, stop posting one thing after another because it'll get you in trouble here. don't bump your message every 10 minutes either..gives it time and eventually you'll get things worked out!

Update drivers. Un/reconnect all cables and plugs. Remove dust from heatsinks/fans. Btw, I have a list of things to try, so if these don't work I can just keep going down the list.

i know it sounds retarded, but so many times i find that the problem is really simple. Check the mouse sensitivity in the games.

naw its not mouse sensitivity because the animation gets weird also when the problem occurs, for rts games it looks as if they're going at 5fps and in first person i get like accelerated and run super fast sometimes ( the weird thing is that these problems occur within atleast 3 hours of playing and they happen less often when my room is very cold, can this possible be my harddrive overheating? its idle temp is about 50 andon load it can reach up to 55,everything else stays in the 30s and my cpu might sometimes reach 44 maximum under load

i found the problem, it seemed like it was a problem with my dual core x3800 processor cores interfiering with each other. I downloaded a program called WinLauncherXP and it gives me the oppurtunity to use one core for some programs. Is there any way that i can get around this without using software?
