Default Computers of the future...

Well, the mac was for 1984 I suppose
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...35792437485705

This is a pretty neat clip, I'm assuming it was during the mac's debut in 1984. I love the audiences reaction to the chess game

Oh, and some quick specs for anyone interested...

* introduced 1984.01.24 at $2,495; discontinued 1985.10
* CPU: 8 MHz 68000
* RAM: 128 KB, expandable to 512 KB
* 9" b&w screen, 512 x 342 pixels(that's NOT greyscale, JUST black and white)
* serial ports: DB-9 modem and printer ports
* floppy: 400 KB single sided (WOW!)
* floppy connector on back of computer
* size (HxWxD): 13.6" x 9.6" x 10.9"
* weight: 16.5 lb.
* power supply: 60W(realize that's for the CRT and the computer!)

A few side notes, just if anyone's wondering, these had no real upgrade path beside being able to add more RAM(which wasn't supported by apple) There was also no way to add a harddrive. The first of these macs that COULD have a harddrive(SCSI) was the Plus, but it didn't. The SE was the first that actually did, a whooping 20MB!

Could that play Battlefield 2?

I remember that, but it was before I was born.

Ya anyway, my school has a few old computers. The apple II is one of them.
