Hi
I'm running a windows server 2000 enviroment with exchange 2000 I did the following I made usergroups (Global Security Groups) in Active Directory These groups also function as mailgroups so every group got it's own mail adress. This is done by exchange tasks en allows people to send mails to the full group. My question is For example I've got a Group named "Temporary Users" This group has been added to exchange with adress Temporaryusers@domain.ext Now there is the possibility to mail to this group But i found out that this is also possible from external adresses (which are not member of the domain) Now i want to block that people can mail to groups from external adresses I tried to use the mail restriction functions of exchange which allowed me to only accept messages from (a modifyable list of adresses) I added all internal groups in this list but that resulted in that individual mail adresses "Intern" could not mail to groups anymore Is there an other way to prevent external messages to be received by complete mail groups??
