hello anoracks.
my computer has stopped working. as im sure you're wondering, "how are you then posting on a forum?!", the answer is simple; I'm using one at school. Anyway, back to my problem. I threw a hammer at my monitor last night whilst watching a dvd and experiencing horizontal lines. The lines made me angry causing me to throw the hammer - the nearest heavy blunt object at the time as my computer is situated in the shed. Crazy I know! Anyway, do any of you "cool guys" know how to fix this problem? I really am at a loss with this one. HELP ME!! |

Ok, um, let me get this straight. You want to know the solution to the problem of having a hammer thrown at the monitor...
I would say the solution is stop throwing heavy objects at your pc equipment. It's more likely to make the problem worse than better. Monitors aren't the kind of thing you can really go poking around in to see what's broken and what's not. I would suggest buying a new one, and looking after it. ![]() And calling people who inhabit this forum anoraks and "cool guys" and then asking them to be sympathetic to your situation? Hmmm.... |

I would guess you ruined your monitor and therefore cant see the video coming from the computer. So get a new monitor and put the hammer back in the toolbox. Then look up anger managment classes on the internet when you get it working again!
