This will b my first PC. My goal is to up grade to an X2 sometime next year.

very nice I think why not go for 2 x 1gig RAMs and it has 4 ports and will take a max of 4gig so that way you can upgrade in time better

Im gonna make a list of upgrades to make in the future. I know im gonna be doing stuff to it all the time, but im just try to save money now. I just want to get the parts and get it working haha. Thanks for the info MaKa.

np , well wouldnt it work out the same price for you getting one 1gig RAM then you can upgrade later, all it is if you get 2 x 512mb RAM when you come to upgrade you might not need them and this would make you loose some cash

so u r saying, i should look into a single stick of 1 GB and then get another stick and put it in dual channel

That would be smart. I'd go with the 7600GS instead of the 6600GT, it has better performance and is about the same price.
