Could we have some more info on your system...like what video card you're trying to install. Is this an upgrade(hardware or driver) new video card, etc etc. We might be brainiacs but we need info to work off of

AN ATI Radeon 128 MB graphics Card

I Just Re-Did My Computer and I was reinstalling the drivers cuz my graphics looked all grainey and stuff
The reason I re-did my computer is also because of my drivers- I kept on getting the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH that said to go to system bios and disable caching and shadowing it said take off any new programs and check to see that windows is updated and i used the OS cd to repair Windows took off all programs off the laptop to make sure that it wasnt a program problem and i still got BSOD
{i took off every program one by one}
I now know its NOT a program because Limewire is the only program left and I doubt its that

So I just re-did every thing and now i cant tell whether or not the video card has gone rotten or if its the wrong driver or something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know just what your definition of "brainiac" is but you could try reseat of the card along with removing all current video drivers and go for the update at the support after Windows detects the card on a fresh reboot. The steps there would be with an expasion card not onboard video.

Back when I was using my Radeon 8500, I recall having a similar error. Something about having to use the standard PCI display addaptor driver before loading. Apparently it's been set where it won't load unless you have that or an actual ATI driver loaded...

Have you tried that? To load the "standered VGA Driver" or something like that then loading the driver? If so, the driver package should extract all the files to some temp location. Doesn't it ask where to extract them when you first open the downloaded file? If so, try just manually installing the drivers from the INF located in the temp directory.
