Default Outlook Express probelms. And webmail...

My ISP is tiscali.co.uk and never set up my account email to go to my OE. I tried to log on through the webmail and it wouldn't let me. When I hover the mouse over the link to my inbox it comes up with a huge link which starts with somethng like 'java....' Tiscali help recommends I turn off ad blocking software which I did (McAfee, AdAware SE, Spybot, microsoft anti spyware and spywareblaster - dont laugh, I never get anything coming through! Tried to login through firefox (default) and IE but no joy.

It goes ok on the laptop, but just not on the desktop.

I tried to retreive the email through outlook express and it just goes into a loop of asking for my login details.

Does anyone else in the UK use tiscali and have you had similar problems?

Seondly (or is it thirdly?!), my cousin sends me emails as attachments which have been forwarded to him so the original email is the attachment. My computer does not recognise these att's and will not open them. gain, the laptop does but its not set for my email account and would be too confusing. I have all the relevant updates from microsoft and am running xp pro with sp2. Can anyone help?!

Does your ISP have a free tech support phone number? Usually when setting up an account with Outlook or Outlook Express they will give detail on how to configure your logon through the connection wizard. Besides user name and a password the type of server and the settings needed are provided by them. In Outlook Express you would create a new account with that information.

I had all the settings for OE correct. As I said, it was working ok on the laptop, just not on the desktop.
