Default trouble reformatting

ok so the down button is broken on my laptop when im asked if i want to boot from disk or something else i can hit end and it will take me to the bottom and i can scroll up with the "up" button but when i get to the partition stage i cant choose the one i want for the life of me i need an alterative for the down button and end, pg down doesnt work any suggestions ? any help would be much appreceated

hmm.. broken like it isn't there anymore or broken like its still pressable, but it just doesn't respond to your presses?

its broken broken i figured eh ill pop the button out it's porb the spacer and its just a quick fix i was wrong the button is totally dead it wont respond at all ive tryed using it by lighting touching it with a screw driver and of that nature i need a alternate way all togther

I'm not sure of any other ways.. what I can think of is probably trying out the TAB.. or if there are numbers associated with the options, take that route.

New keyboard layout possibly? And since its a laptop.. that sucks pretty bad..

yeah im not to happy im thinking about taking it apart but im holding off lol tab doesnt work and theres no number alt buttons blah man lol a simple task turned into a disaster

ok so i found an old keyboard so i spliced it and made it into a usb it gets power now i just new to get the laptop to reconize it any ideas with that ?

just out of curiosity what the make and model of the laptop, might find its very easy to get hold of a replacement keyboard for it

Just use a PS2 keyboard.

quite easy to remove the keyboard on those if i remember right, replacement will cost about £40 on ebay in uk, seen em for $20 on us ebay
