kvm switch working with one but not the other

hi, i have just bought a kvm switch so i can run my 2 comps. problem is that it switchs between computers but on one of my coomputers it doesnt power up the keyboard or the mouse so they have to be taken from the switch and then placed in the computer itself. is there any reason for this? thanks!!!

what model KVM? Are you sure that everything is connected properly? Just check again...

it is a belkin F1DK102U and yeah its been like this for 2days now and its very annoying, the keyboard works wen i go into bios i just tried that then the power fails when the windows logo comes up and it starts to load. crazy.
