Default Battlefield 2 Vs Age of Empire III

I like playing AOE3 and would like to try the Battlefield 2. I don't know much about Battlefield 2. How does it compare with AOE3? Does it only offer online game? Is there anywhere I can download a free trial version?

1. They are totally different games

2. BF2 has excellent online play which is mainly what it is used for. It is somtimes a bit laggy or buggy but its very fun

3. I dont think there is a demo version of BF2.

It does have some single player (bot filled) playing options as well, but obviously not as challenging or fun as the full online play.

Thank you very much. I 've tried the trial version. The graphic was very impressive. Since I already have Call of Duty, I don't think I'll buy the Battlefield 2.
Is there any strategy game similar to AOE3 but with modern combat?

The command and conquer series is great, but a little old (latest version is ~2003.) Act of War is also fun. For futuristic, go Starcraft

Rise of Nations came out about a couple years ago, or you could go with Battle for Middle-Earth 2. Neither are really all that futuristic, but really fun strategy games, nonetheless.
