my system is similar to your setup, and the next thing i would do is a new graphics card, followed by a better x2 processor. (graphics being much much much more important though)

then again, are you happy with what you have now? if you are, then why bother?

lol well, i like the video card suggestion... but the 7800gt should last me awhile
but other X2's aren't nearly as good as mine!
id need an FX-60 in order to marginally increase performance and o/cing ability.
maybe an opteron, but thats still taking a chance! i could just get a bad stepping, or a bad batch!
any other suggestions?

i've never been happy with my 7800gt. when i bought it, i knew it wouldn't play aoe3 with shader settings set at "very high".

and i don't know if you've noticed it or not, but HDR kills frame rates for me. i wonder if the newer cards do it better than our's, since the 7800 series was right when HDR was becoming popular...

the Quatro's are workstation cards, there not meant for gaming.

The 7900 would be better, but i dont think its worth upgrading to from a 7800GT. If you really want upgrades, i would get a nice gaming keyboard, and 2x SATAII's w/ 16MB cache in a RAID 0 array.

yea... the gaming keyboard i've got right now is starting to crap out on me... i think its cuz i spilled some root beer soda on it awhile ago, and its finally taking its toll haha...
anyways, yea the hard drives are a nice thought too, but loading times are good enough for me right now.
but yea, the weakest parts of my system would definitely be the video card and the hard drives...
i've always thought about gettin 2x74gb raptors just for the heck of it
anyone wanna buy a 120gb hard drive?? lol theres another section in the forum for that though...
