The prodict key number is assigned to one disk only. If you are using a new installation disk to install XP the number for that disk will be included on either the disk label or wrapping/retail box it comes in.

If it is two separate XP cds then no! If it the same cd and you slipstreamed sp 1 on it then yes you can use the same pin number

The CD Key will only work on that version of Windows. So if you have a CD Key for Windows XP build:2600, it will only work on that build.

The XP with SP1 would be a later release on a separate cd. Later copies came with SP2 included. The only type of number that will work on more then one cd is found under a corpoarte license agreement with Microsoft.
