Default Dvd To Ipod

Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section

I have DVD's I bought that i want to put on my video iPod. I was thinking a VOB o AVI converter, then an AVI to mp4 (3gp). But theyre not vob..theyre ifo and bup and all that. Any ideas? Software needs to be free...

ifo doesnt hold the video, just the timing and scene stuff, and bup is really just ifo backups

my buddie has a ipod vid and all the software there is like 3 or 4 different programs he uses in steps to make it go on the ipod one program is called dvd decypter, then dvd shrink, then something else and then Itunes, I think this all came with his Ipod, what software did you get with it?

all ya need is DVD Decrypter and Videora ipod converter!

Videora iPod converter converts VOB to MP4 !!! (make sure u have it sized right tho if ur converting a widescreen film tho)

here is the tutitorial...
i use it and it works very smoothly/perfectly

Actually, it is against the rules to be discussing this. Putting DVD onto an ipod is considered making a copy of the DVD. You are actually taking a physical copy and putting it on your ipod.

But if im wrong, as mentioned above Videora Ipod Converter is the best way to do it.

I'm afraid it is illegal to copy a dvd into any other format or form that has copy protection placed on it.

My understanding is that you are able to make a copy for personal use, unless that DVD has copy protection that would have to be circumvented for the copy to be made.

And DVD Decrypter is illegal as well. Read this if you don't believe me.
