alanuofm, I doubt the amount of transistors makes a GFX card better than the next one......

Right now, i'm all Nvidia.
i can't really say its bettter then ATI, becuase the only thing with ati in it is my gamecube, maybe ps2.....i forgot who made graphics for that. Anyway, my 6800 is outpreforming alot desktops here, so i have to say that i like that alot. and i got my desktop with an fx 5600 for free. i'm putting a 6600gt in my desktop i'm using for gaming. and if i find the money, i'm putting an fx 5700le in my mini-itx project.

right now i have a 6200, and a 6800gt (without pc to put it in yet
) anyway, i only bought it because of the SLI option. and because the geforce 6 series has pixel shader 3.0, while the ati cards havnt got that. and because most games i play have the "plays best on nvidia" symbol ![]()

I like ATI better because they offer a wider range of mid-range cards. I am not Mr. Rich so I really cannot afford to drop $500 on a graphics card every month or so. ATI offers much better mid-range options for both AGP and PCI-E. I am getting a nice mid-range ATI Radeon X700, and I am more than happy, because the Nvidia PCI-E midrange option, the 6600GT, costs an extra $70 from ibuypower.....

it takes more than one try to know if a brand is good or bad, especially with computer products.
