seems like triumph for nVidia at the moment. The only reason i went for nVidia is because in the vast range of graphics cards ive ever delt with, they have ALL been made by nVidia, never once have i ventured into ATI. nVidia has suficed to all my requirements and more so...... why change??

id agree with some who wrote before. before, it was ati (like a couple of years ago when i built my computer). then they came with the x800's. now, i'd say nvidia cause of its sli system. rollercoaster ride.

lol these things only matter to high end gamers. An ordinary computer user would be satisfied with onboard graphics, they won't give a dam about nvidia or ati and might not even know what they are.

onboard graphics extremely slow down the computer. a ordinary user that never even heard of doom 3 would still see a great improvement by just buying a 30$ video card even.

But for christ's sake enough already, you've made your point a few times now. Theres no point or pride in being a narrow minded fanboy, it's always their loss in the end.

you might be asking yourself, ATI or nvidia. well, these are the facts, so fanbois read and WEEP. anyway. as we clearly see in difrent game engines, openGL2.0 or directX9.0b-c
ATI will always be GOD of directX9.0 and dx10 when it is released
nVidia will always be GOD of openGL2.0, and 2.2 when its released

now lets look at classes,

with full AA, AF and full resolution, in doom3, the x850 xt pe AGP outperformed a 6800ultra pci-E by 7 fps avarage, getting 27 fps. no other ATI card did better in doom3. the rest of the nvidia cards were faster by nearly 20% in d3, only because the d3 engine was built and modified (when the core came out) around the NV40 and NV43 core.

in hl2, source, other dx9 games like farcry, splinter cell, ATI cards were faster by 23% avarage. the x800 xl surpassed the 6800 gt's, x80's past the 6600 gt's, and obviously the x850 xt pe over 6800ultras. sure you say well blah blah 7800 gtx or whatever, fact is that card is just as slow, when the x900's come out it will be pwn4g3 7im3.

doom3 or openGL game fan? get nVidia
dx9/hl2 fan? get ATI

its that simple. (based on benchmarks and FACTS, not fanboi'ism, not one company is better than the other, and as soon as someone says ATI is better than nvidia, or nvidia is better than ATI, someone hand him the STUPID hat.)
