I, even though i have an Nvid, would have to go with ATI... My friend has the 1900 and it is insane. And- not that loud. Should it be that big of a deal anyways? if you look at my sig, I have the euivalent of miniature wind farm (in the opposite direction). I really dont mind at all- just have the speakers turned up enough and you cant hear anything else. And who says in combat that you wouldnt get stuck next to a guy with a hairdryer? (all the time). I just dont think its that big of a deal.

It isn't. But in every review that I have seen, the 7900GTX and the x1900xtx have been very close in everything except noise levels, so that is why I would go with the 7900. Well I wouldn't have that much money in the first place...

i've only had one ATI and it was a radeon 9200 pro, gave me the most trouble, couldn't get the driver to work. seems like it wasn't really compatible with my system for some reason? i got rid of that thing so fast, and upgraded to a 6800GT and never looked back. of course it could have just been a faulty radeon?

Whatever suits your fancy- they both make great cards, and they are about the same (dont get mad at me). About the only diff is that they have different art on the heatsinks and different names, and a little software differences. I could only afford the card i have now, and it looked good. In the future, Ill probably get some ATi card, because it will suit me. Or Ill get an Nvid. I dont really go for the brand loyalty thing- except with CPUs, and that doesnt even go very far.

They do offer pretty much the same performance, such as the x1900XTX and 7900GTX. Sometimes ATI is in the lead, and other times nVidia is in the lead. It all depends on who has the newest and best card.

It looks like ATI has a new card in stock, and rumours state that it may have 64 shader units, which would be more powerful than the XBox 360's graphics. It will also use DDR4.

Sounds like it will be nice. I never knew that the Xbox 360's graphics were so good.

Thats kind of an odd reason. So your saying that you would rather have an ATI x1300 over a 7900GT because the ATI one looks better?
