You went from 6800ultra to X1650pro. Thats a downgrading !!!

I reckon, although the X1650pro supports shader model 3, it just lacks grunt so its pretty useless. You should have stuck with your 6800 ultra.

Nvidia all the way, have tried ati and every single of them has to be RMA at least 2 or 3 times before getting one that partially works

I guess you must have hit a bad batch there, I don't think ALL ati cards are manufactured faulty, its just that their chips are overpriced and under-performing at the moment.

I agree, the whole card is overpriced, The only way I would buy one of there cards was if it's a DX10 card, or it was used, and cheap. I'll stick with Nvidia for right now.

ok, let's be serious, if you think ati's cards are overpriced, nvidia's cards are overpriced as well. the comparable cards from each manufacturer have similar price tags and offer similar performance.

in reference to the above, the X1650PRO is comparable in performance to a GeForce 7600GS.

Ah, I never said Nvidia's weren't overpriced, I was simply just agreeing with Elitehacker. I guess I should have specified that.

Also, though you didn't ask. What I meant by sticking with Nvidia, is that I have one of their cards, and I'm gonna keep it for a while. A lot of the cards out on the market are overpriced, and I'm not ready to pay $600 just to get DX 10.
