I highley recomend it for a workstation. I use a Quadro FX1100 128Mo for my photo editing pc at work (mind you i don't pay for my work pc) and find them a great card for this type of use.

ATI always, they always turn out better in DirectX9 games. and not many games are openGL which nvidea are better with.

I hear all you guys talk about a particular 6600GT.....Exactly who makes that and is it the best or slightly lower than the best?

found it but I am having a couple things that are bothering me.....I don't have any kind of a connection on my monitor like these.....look at this picture if you will and tell me what they are!

Those are DVI outputs which some, but not all, LCD monitors use. Normally the card will come with a DVI to VGA (those 9 pin blue ones) adapter.

DVI is for LCD's but if you want to use a CRT then you can get a VGA/DVI adaptor. it normally comes with the graphics card.
