Default Computer not recognizing hard drive!

So, am sorry to bother you guys again but since my blue screen problem my computer now does not recognize any of my hard drives. I have connected them, reconected them but it still does not work. I even checked in bios and i had not seen my hard drive.
My system specs are:
p4 3.ghz
asus p4s800 motherboard
512 mb ram
nVidia 5200 128mb video card

Please help me out because i need to get back to windows xp because running Ubuntu Live is annoying!
